ASTM International Committee F30 on Emergency Medical Services
http://www.astm.org/COMMIT/COMMITTEE/F30.htm
Committee F30 on Emergency Medical Services was formed in 1984. The committee meets twice a year, in May and October, to develop and update documents relevant to quality emergency medical services. The committee, with a membership of approximately 100, has jurisdiction over 53 standards published in Volume 13.02 of the Annual Book of ASTM Standards.
F30 promotes knowledge, stimulation of research, and the development of standards (classifications, guides, practices, specifications, test methods, and terminology) for quality emergency medical services. Standards for clinical medical practice are excluded. The work of F30 is coordinated with the activities of other EMS organizations having mutual interests such as The Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS).
ABOUT ASTM INTERNATIONAL: ASTM International is one of the largest standards development and delivery systems in the world. ASTM standards are voluntary consensus documents that guide in research, design, manufacturing, marketing, and trade. For over a century, ASTM has met the technical needs of commerce by providing standards that are accepted and used around the world. ASTM’s market relevance is evident in over 100 industrial and management sectors, ranging from construction materials and environmental assessment to medical devices and consumer products. 125 nations are represented in ASTM International.
ASTM standards are developed by technical experts who are the members of ASTM International. Membership is open to all who have an interest in the standards affecting business and industry. You too can join the 30,000 individuals and institutions who set the standard for the rest of the world in ASTM. For more information and to join ASTM and Committee F30, go to http://www.astm.org/COMMIT/COMMITTEE/F30.htm.
